Become a GIANTS Billet family
Hosting Fort McMurray Giants baseball players is not only a tradition amongst college baseball communities across North America but a necessity to continue to build a championship team. The Giants will recruit talented baseball players from across Canada and the United States to live in our community of Fort McMurray over the course of a summer season spanning from late May to late August.
As a Giants Billet Family, you are providing a "home away from home" for a player who wants to spend their summer training, playing and volunteering as apart of the Fort McMurray community. In return, you get to build a relationship with a young man who you would have never had the chance and hopefully, create an experience together neither will forget.
Expectations of our Billet Families
The WCBL schedule begins in the last week of May and ends in the middle of August (depending on the WCBL Playoffs). The schedule includes 56 games over approximately two and a half months including 28 home games. During times spent at home, players will generally be at Legacy Dodge Field and/or MacDonald Island Park from 2:00pm - 11:00pm.
- Provide suitable housing accommodations for your player(s). Including their own private living space, the ability to use laundry facilities (for personal use, team apparel is washed by Giants Staff), access to bathroom facilities and WiFi access.
- Cooking for players is not required, however you must ensure there is food readily available for players to make their own meals and snacks.
- Transportation will be arranged to all practices and games by the team. However, if you able to transport your player it is always appreciated.
- Billet Families are expected to set house rules for their player(s) and monitor their behavior as if they are any other member of their household. We expect billeting a Fort McMurray Giant to be a positive experience for all parties involved.

For opening your arms and doors to one (or more) of our Giants players, you will be compensated $500 per Month (per player) during the WCBL Season. Not to mention some of the other perks that include:
- Season Pass for each Member of the Household (28 Home Games & Playoffs)

EXPECTATIONS OF OUR GIANTS PLAYERS
Our Fort McMurray Giants players are expected to be exemplary members of their billet families and the community as a whole. They are to respect all household rules, clean up after themselves, do their own laundry and assist in anything required while spending time with their billet family. They are to positively impact the lives of the family they get to spend their summer season with!
